Members of the Westside girls and boys varsity track teams took the short ride to Burke Stadium on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, 2018 to compete in the 2018 NSAA State Track and Field Championships. Here are the results:

Girls (34 points, 7th place as a team):

100m dash: Jaylen Knight, 12.30, All-Class Gold Medal.

100m hurdles (preliminaries): DeKyah Rosemond, 18.05.

200m dash: Jaylen Knight, 25.57, 2nd place in Class A.

400m dash: Jaylen Knight, 58.23, 3rd place in Class A.

800m run: Quinn Weidemann, 2:24.28, Caroline Leibel, 2:34.03.

1600m relay (Quinn Weidemann, Jaylen Knight, Ella Wedergren, DeKyah Rosemond): 4:04.07, 1st place in their heat.

Discus: Taylor Kellogg, 121-00, 5th place.

Long Jump: Adja Tchapo, 16-02.5.

High Jump: Charlie Fastenau, 5-00.

800m wheelchair: Eva Houston, 3:18.31, gold.

Boys:

100m dash (preliminaries): Avante Dickerson, 11.18.

200m dash: Avante Dickerson, 22.73.

3200m run: Amon Shaw, 10:35.08.

3200m relay (Amon Saw, Angelo Brown, Eli McCabe, Conner Tomcak): 8:31.10.

Discus: Jackson McMillen, 138-10.

Unified 100m dash: Billy Sharp, 16.98.  Mary Eyth, 26.75.

Unified Long Jump: Billy Sharp, 6’0″.
